Andrea Petkovic himself has promised not to do “Petko dance” on the tennis court because his actions are often misinterpreted insulting his opponent.

Although denied doing this because of the criticism directed at him, Petkovic admitted doing it because of the harsh reaction.

The 24-year-old player was always doing dance moves, if successful won the game. Now he changed his motion with a leap of celebration style basketball player slam dunk. The movement which he called “Petko Dunk”.

“They always ask me if I do not feel harassed opponents? The question repeatedly asked of me,” said Petkovic. “I always say, football players do many things when score a goal and no one protests.”

However, Petkovic admitted, tennis is still a conservative sport, especially among American fans. “It’s strange. The American fans came to the stadium for my liking, but they do not like me doing things I like.”

Petkovic said he was happy when Schweinsteiger was planning to dance on the football field. “I’m glad to hear he’s been training to do just that.”

“I always say, football players do many things when score a goal and no one protests.”
