Rice said recently underwent shoulder surgery because of a tear in the tendon that he suffered only a few months ahead national trials for the Olympic Games in London next March.

“But my condition is fine and I will be able to practice again before Christmas,” Rice said. “The surgery went well. I myself was surprised because my shoulder has been able to do a lot of movement.”

Rice is the winner of three gold medals at the Beijing Olympics 2008. Swimming ability and beautiful figure makes Rice a swimmer who became the target of Australia and the world media.

Rice suffered a shoulder injury that also forced him to resign from the world championships and Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India in 2010.

In the world championships in Shanghai last July, Rice won two bronze medals in the medley number of individuals and relay teams.

The operation went well. I myself was surprised because my shoulder has been able to do a lot of movement.
